World Center
Smart City Laboratory
From now on, visitors to the Science Island will be greeted by an interactive exhibit created by the #EnergySmartSTART program initiated by the Ignitis Group.
This educational platform is designed to introduce the issue of sustainability. It will give you the opportunity to reflect on your choices by answering different questions. Just like in our long-term exhibition Man. Nature. Machine, which emphasizes the decisive influence of an individual’s daily actions on the fate of the entire world.
The exhibit is free for all visitors to the Science Island, and students who would like to learn more about sustainability and energy topics are welcome at STEAM educations:
Who first invented the light bulb?
The activity is intended for students in grades 1–4. Here, little energy experts get acquainted with different methods of electricity production and create smart LEGO houses.
The program is intended for students in grades 1–4
Duration – 60 min.
Green energy: is it always renewable?
The program is aimed at students in grades 5–6, where participants delve into the differences between green and renewable energy and create their own wind turbine models.
The program is intended for students in grades 5–6
Duration – 60 min.
Mission: responsible use of electricity
The activity is adapted for students in grades 7–12. Here, curious people explore the challenges of sustainable energy and, using microcontrollers and sensors, create smart electricity-saving mechanisms.
The program is intended for students in grades 7–12
Duration – 60 min.
Activities are free, funded by the Ignitis #EnergySmartSTART program. Registration is carried out: steam@mokslosala.lt.
