TICKET PURCHASE AND USE RULES

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

1. When planning a visit to the Science and Innovation Dissemination Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center), it is necessary to have a visitor ticket. Some events may be subject to additional charges. Information about entertainment at the Center is available on the website: mokslosala.lt.

2. Tickets for visiting the exhibition, planetarium sessions or classes in laboratories can be purchased at the Center’s box offices, self-service terminals or online: bilietai.mokslosala.lt.

3. Tickets are returned and exchanged only due to an error or technical malfunction of the service provider. Planetarium and exhibition visit tickets are valid only on the specified day and time, therefore their dates cannot be changed or transferred.

II. TICKET PURCHASE RULES ON THE WEBSITE

4. When purchasing tickets online, payments are made via the paysera.lt system. It includes most Lithuanian banks’ electronic banking services and diabetes (credit) cards.

5. When purchasing a ticket online, the visitor must make sure that he has selected the desired date, time, visitor categories and number of tickets.

6. After selecting the desired tickets, it is necessary to enter the required data, check the basket information and make sure that it is correct. The buyer must agree to the terms of purchase and use of tickets in order for the payment to be successfully completed.

7. If the setting “Invoice required” is selected, it will be generated based on the provided personal or company data and sent to the specified e-mail.

8. After receiving a response from paysera.lt about successful payment, the tickets are sent to the e-mail specified by the visitor.

9. A remotely concluded contract (i.e. returning tickets purchased online) cannot be canceled, because tickets are sold for a specific date and/or time.

III. RULES FOR PURCHASING TICKETS AT SELF-SERVICE TERMINALS

10. When purchasing a ticket at a self-service terminal, the visitor must make sure that he has selected the desired quantity of tickets and their category.

11. The buyer is responsible for checking the information provided in the basket and its accuracy.

12. In order to receive an invoice, it is necessary to print a payment receipt at the self-service terminal and contact the cashier.

13. In order to get a refund for tickets purchased at self-service terminals (subject to the ticket refund basis provided for in these rules), the visitor must fill out a refund act. It is issued at cento cash desks.

14. Tickets are sold at self-service cash desks only for visiting the exhibition and for planetarium sessions. There is no possibility of purchasing admission to additional events, excursions or educational classes.

IV. TICKET USE RULES

15. Visitors are admitted to the center’s exposition, planetarium sessions or other events only upon presentation of a valid ticket.

16. The ticket is valid only once, for the purpose of the visit, on a specific date and time indicated on it. After leaving the zone for which a ticket is required, the visitor cannot return with the same ticket.

17. When purchasing tickets to the exposition, the arrival time (1 hour) is indicated. The ticket is scanned at the entrance gate and becomes valid 30 minutes before the specified time. Children under 3 years old do not need to buy a ticket to visit the exposition, they are admitted free of charge.

18. It is necessary to arrive at the planetarium sessions at the time indicated on the ticket. Late visitors will not be admitted. Planetarium sessions are intended for visitors from 3 years old.

19. If the ticket was purchased with a discount, upon arrival at the center, visitors must present a document confirming the right to the discount to the box office staff. If the visitor cannot present such a document, they must pay the difference between the standard ticket price and the discounted ticket price at the box office.

V. FINAL PROVISIONS

21. The center is not liable for any damage caused to the visitor or third parties if these rules or legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania have not been followed.

22. These rules are approved, amended and supplemented by the instructions of the center manager.

RULES OF CONDUCT FOR VISITORS

I. TICKET PURCHASE PROCEDURE

1. Visitors are admitted only during the working hours of the Science and Innovation Dissemination Center (hereinafter referred to as the Center), after purchasing a ticket in advance before the desired entertainment. Ticket offices close one hour before the end of the Center’s work.

2. Payment for tickets or other services is made in cash, by bank payment card, bank transfer or e-banking (in individual cases – according to concluded agreements).

3. Visitors can purchase tickets at the Center’s cash desks, self-service terminals and on the website: bilietai.mokslosala.lt.

4. The visitor must keep the ticket during the entire visit and present it to the responsible employee upon request.

5. The Center’s visit prices and discounts are approved by a separate order of the manager. The institution has the right to apply special short-term discounts (promotions), which are formalized by order of the manager and announced in the center’s information channels.

6. Persons wishing to purchase a center ticket with a discount or visit for free must present a document to the cashier confirming their membership in the target group to which the discount applies. If the relevant document is refused, the discount will not be applied. The discounted ticket is valid only for the person who purchased it and cannot be transferred.

7. Purchased tickets are not accepted back and money is not refunded for them, except in cases where the visit cannot be made due to the fault of Mokslosala or the event did not take place.

8. Money for tickets is not refunded in force majeure circumstances (Article 6.212 of the Civil Code).

9. Information about services and prices is provided at the center’s cashiers or by e-mail – kasos@mokslosala.lt and on the website mokslosala.lt.

II. CENTER WORKING HOURS

10. The Center’s working hours are approved by the Center’s manager.

11. The Center reserves the right to change working hours. If necessary, to close part of the exposition due to maintenance, exhibitions, exposition installation work, events, etc. Visitors are informed about this in advance on the Center’s website – mokslosala.lt, social media or other information channels of the institution.

III. CENTER’S RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS

12. The Center undertakes to:

12.1. provide visitors with correct, comprehensive, accurate and clear information about the services provided, prices, upcoming events, changes, etc.;

12.2. provide the visitor with the purchased service in accordance with the requirements of legal acts and the provisions of these rules;

12.3. Center employees serving visitors must comply with the requirements of the Internal Rules of Procedure, without violating the rights of visitors.

13. The Center has the right to:

13.1. if there is a threat to the health and life of visitors, the employees of the Center and the services ensuring security shall apply measures provided for in the laws and other legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania;

13.2. to warn and discipline visitors who do not comply with the visiting procedure or ask them to leave the premises, and in case of violations of the law, to call security or the police. In such a case, the money for tickets shall not be refunded;

13.3. if visitors interfere with educational activities or planetarium sessions, do not follow the instructions of the Center employees or behave inappropriately during excursions, the activity may be terminated, and the persons may be asked to leave the Center. In such a case, the money for tickets shall not be refunded;

13.4. to terminate a visit to the Center if there may be or is a threat to the health or life of visitors;

13.5. the Center may apply the established additional fees for permission to film or photograph with professional equipment in the Center’s premises;

13.6. During events held at the center, photographs and videos may be taken, and the material may be used in the center’s information channels, after informing visitors in advance.

IV. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF VISITORS

14. Visitors to the center have the right to:

14.1. to receive information about the center’s working hours, offered services, prices;

14.2. to visit the selected exhibition, education, event or planetarium session at a specific time after purchasing a ticket;

14.3. to take photos and videos of the experience at the center for personal, non-commercial purposes. It is forbidden to use photo flashes and/or professional photography equipment, additional lighting, stands and tripods, drones and devices that would disturb other visitors. It is forbidden to film and photograph other people without their consent;

14.4. to inform the center administration about inappropriate behavior of employees, the quality of services provided;

14.5. to submit suggestions and comments regarding the center’s visiting procedure, services provided, events, etc. They are welcome by e-mail – info@mokslosala.lt;

14.6. visitors can eat their own food and drink drinks only in designated premises – cafes.

15. Responsibilities of visitors to the Center:

15.1. children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult;

15.2. groups of minor visitors must have an accompanying person (14 visitors – 1 adult accompanying person);

15.3. not leave children under 14 years of age unattended;

15.4. parents or other persons accompanying children must take care of children throughout the visit in order to ensure their safety and the safety of the Center’s exhibits and equipment;

15.5. immediately inform the responsible employee about events or actions that may cause or have caused damage to the health, life, or property of the visitor and other persons;

15.6. comply with warning signs, instructions, or other instructions related to visiting the Center, fire safety signals, and verbal instructions from employees about the rules of visiting and the use of equipment;

15.7. respect the employees and the rights of other visitors and do not interfere with their visit. Use exhibits and other center equipment safely;

15.8. take care of the safety of personal belongings – leave backpacks, large handbags or other bags in storage lockers, and outdoor clothing and umbrellas in the cloakroom. The visitor must keep the received cloakroom hanger tokens and locker keys. If they are lost, the center administration may demand compensation for damage.

V. MISCONDUCT OF VISITORS IN THE CENTER, LABORATORIES AND DURING EVENTS

16. Visitors who are intoxicated with alcohol, narcotics or other psychotropic substances are not allowed into the center. The cashier, suspecting that the visitor is intoxicated, has the right not to sell a ticket, not to serve him, and to ask him to leave.

17. Persons with weapons and other dangerous objects: explosives, flammable substances, alcoholic beverages, etc. are not allowed to enter the center premises. Aggressive people who may pose a danger to other visitors are not allowed. Employees have the right to refuse to serve such persons, ask them to leave or call security.

18. Persons with roller skates, scooters, bicycles or skateboards are not allowed to enter the center premises.

19. It is forbidden to damage and break the center’s equipment, exhibits, damage the building and other property.

20. It is forbidden to independently conduct excursions in the center’s exposition or other premises – such services may be provided only by responsible employees.

21. It is forbidden to bypass protective fences, go to auxiliary rooms intended for center personnel and other spaces not intended for visitors.

22. It is forbidden to bring food and drinks into the planetarium. Touch, move or otherwise damage the video control equipment, go behind the barriers and walls. Once you leave the planetarium room, you cannot return to it during the session.

23. It is forbidden to enter the center premises wearing extremely dirty clothes and/or footwear, as this may cause damage to the exhibition rooms, exhibits, and other people’s property.

24. It is forbidden to smoke in the center premises and in the surrounding outdoor areas where there are signs prohibiting it.

25. It is forbidden to litter in the center premises. Also, damage or destroy greenery.

26. It is forbidden to bring animals into the center premises.

27. It is forbidden to damage, destroy or arbitrarily move information signs, stands, boundary signs, flags, and fire-fighting equipment.

28. It is prohibited to use fireworks (except in cases agreed in advance with the center administration), confetti and other products that pollute the environment and pose a danger to it.

29. It is prohibited to arbitrarily hang any temporary advertisements, posters, signs without the permission of the center manager.

30. It is prohibited to organize signature collection campaigns and/or conduct agitation.

VI. GIFT COUPON EXTENSION SERVICE

31. Science Island gift vouchers purchased before November 1, 2025 are not extendable.

32. The gift voucher is intended for one visit to Science Island (planetarium and/or exhibition and/or shop). The voucher is not a ticket – it must be exchanged for a selected ticket for the desired visit. This can be done at physical box offices or online, by entering the gift voucher code when purchasing tickets.

33. If the full value of the voucher is not used, the remaining money is not refunded. The voucher is not exchangeable for money or refunded.

34. The Center provides a one-time gift voucher extension service (hereinafter referred to as the Service), which applies only to gift vouchers purchased from November 1, 2025.

35. The Service applies to a gift coupon whose validity period has expired no more than 30 (thirty) calendar days from the expiration date indicated on the gift coupon.

36. The validity of a gift voucher can be extended only for 60 (sixty) calendar days from the expiry date indicated on the gift voucher. The service applies only to gift vouchers purchased from 1 November 2025.

37. An administrative fee of EUR 5 (five euros) including VAT is applied for extending the validity of one gift voucher.

38. Extension can only be made upon arrival at the Centre, at physical cash desks. This service requires a paper version of the expired gift voucher.

39. Payment for the extension service is possible in cash or by bank/credit card.

40. The payment receipt issued by the Centre for the extension service is the official proof of the gift voucher extension, which the visitor must keep and present if necessary when purchasing services or goods with the extended gift voucher in the future.

41. The service is a one-time service – one gift voucher can only be extended once.

42. The gift voucher extension service is not available online, by mail or at self-service checkouts.

43. The service is subject to the previously mentioned rules and other provisions for the purchase and use of tickets at the Centre.

VII. FINAL PROVISIONS

44. These rules apply to all visitors to the center.

45. The control of the visiting procedure is carried out by the center administration, ticket cashiers, exhibition employees, other service personnel.

46. To ensure security, the center’s exhibitions, common areas and other premises are monitored by video cameras.

47. The visitor is liable for all damage caused by failure to comply with these rules. The center has the right to demand compensation for it in accordance with the procedure established by the legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania.

48. The center is not liable for damage caused to the visitor or third parties if the visitor did not comply with these rules or legal acts of the Republic of Lithuania.

49. Payment for services and issuing a document confirming receipt of money to the visitor or entry to the center’s premises in other established ways expresses the visitor’s agreement with the conditions specified in these rules and a promise to comply with them.

50. If a visitor submits a complaint in writing, detailing the circumstances in detail and clearly, the center undertakes to provide a response within 20 working days.

51. These rules are approved, amended, supplemented and deleted by order of the center manager.
