Moritz Simon Geist Instalations
May 17–23
TRIPOD’S ONE
In Moritz Simon Geist’s techno-robotic performance, “TRIPOD’S ONE” custom-built music robots create every sound live on stage, redefining the techno music experience.
A German musician and artist uses these robotic instruments to produce distinct, contemporary electronic music. Each machine, from tone generators to sound-producing sculptures, is designed to create dynamic sounds that resonate with modern electronic music structures.
The performance is both a musical and a visual experience. His robotic instruments are crafted using advanced technologies, such as 3D printing, CNC milling, and laser cutting.
Geist’s performance highlights the intersection of creativity and technology.
You can hear it live on May 17, and try it yourself at Science Island until May 23.
Drum Robot MR-808
MR-808 is a drum robot installation featuring an oversized robotic drum machine programmed live by the spectators!
The audience can program the drum robot in a collaborative process and listen to the emerging sound. At the exhibition site, the crowd can stand in front of the robot, composing music in real-time.
The drum robot installation MR-808 Interactive (2013) is intended for a collaborative music creation process that turns the listener from a passive spectator to an active player, visualizing the ongoing bond of mobile digital interfaces and physical actions.
Try it yourself at Science Island from May 17 until May 23.
