What are the ticket prices? 

Exhibition ticket prices: 

  • 17 Eur for adults;
  • 12 Eur for children (3 to 18 years old);
  • 50 Eur family ticket (up to 2 adults and up to 3 children).

Planetarium ticket prices: 

  • 8 Eur for adults;
  • 6 Eur for children (3 to 18 years old).

Tickets for both the exhibition and the planetarium sessions are sold separately. There is no single ticket for all attractions. 

Can I purchase tickets upon arrival at Science Island? 

Yes, tickets are sold on the bilietai.mokslosala.lt/eng website and at the Science Island box offices. The website shows the total number of tickets, there are no additional or individual tickets at the Science Island box offices. 

Due to the high number of visitors, we recommend planning your visit in advance by purchasing tickets and arriving at the time indicated on them. 

The number of visitors to the “Man. Nature. Machine” exhibition and planetarium sessions is limited. It is determined based on global practice so that everyone can have a comfortable, high-quality and safe discovery experience. 

Is a gift voucher a visitor ticket? 

No, the Science Island gift voucher must be exchanged for a visitor ticket for a specific time. Due to the high visitor flow, we recommend doing this on the bilietai.mokslosala.lt/eng page: 

  • select tickets for the desired day to the exhibition and/or planetarium;
  • add them to the cart and proceed to payment;
  • enter your gift code in the indicated place;
  • the system will be automatically subtract the gift value from the total amount in the cart;
  • if the amount in the cart exceeds the gift value, you will have to pay the difference;
  • if the total amount is less than the gift value – the balance is non-refundable.
Are there discounts for purchasing larger quantities of tickets? 

Yes, groups of 20 people and more receive discounts on exhibition and planetarium tickets: 

  • 10% discount – for groups of 20 people and more;
  • 15% discount – for groups of 50 people and more;
  • 20% discount – for groups of 150 people and more.

For groups of 20 or more people, it is necessary to reserve tickets in advance by e-mail – grupes@mokslosala.lt.

Groups of children must have an accompanying person (14 children at least 1 accompanying person). 

Is the visit free of charge for persons accompanying groups of children from educational institutions? 

Yes. Children’s groups must be accompanied by a responsible adult (14 children – 1 accompanying person), who will receive a free Science Island visitor ticket.

This discount applies only to children’s groups. A free visit is not available when purchasing adult tickets or if the group consists of fewer than 14 children. Special needs, exceptional cases, and larger groups are considered during the visit reservation process.

Is visiting Science Island free for people with disabilities and seniors? 

For people with disabilities and their accompanying persons (1 person – 1 accompanying person) and seniors over 80 years of age, a visit to the Science Island is free of charge, both to the exhibition and to the planetarium. 

Due to the large flow of visitors, we recommend planning a visit in advance and notifying the time of the visit by e-mail – kasos@mokslosala.lt.

After receiving a response to the email with the reservation confirmation and arriving at the scheduled time, you must contact the cashier and show a document proving your disability or age. Groups of children must have an accompanying person (14 children at least 1 accompanying person). 

Is visiting the exhibition free for children under 3 years old? 

Yes. We are waiting for little explorers, for whom a special space has been allocated in the exhibition, combining all topics into one and designed to be learned through the experience of simple games. 

Is visiting Science Island free on the last Sunday of the month? 

Science Island – a science and innovation dissemination center that does not have museum status. We do not have free admission days. 

Which entertainment should you choose first during your visit: visiting an exhibition or a planetarium session? 

It makes no difference which entertainment you choose first. It is important that you leave enough time for impressions in the exposition and do not be late for the planetarium. 

The recommended duration of visiting the exposition is 2-3 hours. Exposition tickets are single-use. Once you leave the discovery space, you cannot return with the same tickets. 

The duration of the planetarium session is 45-55 minutes. If you have an urgent need during the session, please raise your hand and/or otherwise inform the lecturer about the need to leave. Once you leave the session, you cannot return to it, so please take care of your needs before it. 

In what cases can tickets be refunded or exchanged? 

Tickets are refundable and exchangeable only due to service provider error or technical malfunction. Planetarium and exhibition tickets are valid only for the specified date and time, therefore their date cannot be changed or rescheduled. 

Does Science Island have parking? 

The nearest parking spaces are on Karaliaus Mindaugo Ave and the lot next to the “Žalgiris” Arena. Science Island is in the middle of the park, so there is no possibility of parking right next to it. 

Is there a cafe on Science Island? 

There are two cafes on Science Island:

  • Drip Drop is in the permanent exhibition area. There you can take a break between the excitement and enjoy drinks and delicious desserts;
  • PYO is located on the 2nd floor of the bulding. In the restaurant you can not only have a snack, but also a delicious meal.

Is it possible to book a tour? 

Yes, Science Island organizes excursions, during which they tell about the creation, architecture and content of the center. 

The price of the excursion is 110 Eur. The maximum number of participants is 50. The service must be ordered in advance by e-mail – grupes@mokslosala.lt

The exposition “Man. Nature. Machine” is designed to discover and experience impressions independently. Professionals working here constantly explain each exhibit and are happy to answer all visitors’ questions. 

Planetarium sessions are held together with an astronomer. Here you are invited to get to know the most distant constellations, the uniqueness of the solar system and see real-time images from space observatories. The duration of a planetarium session is up to 1 hour. 

Is it possible to visit using cultural passport funds? 

There is currently no such option, but in the future we plan to have several activities that will be included in this program. 

Is it possible to visit with a pet? 

Science Island loves animals, but for the comfort of all visitors, we will welcome you without pets. 

What is the difference between an exhibition, a planetarium, and a children’s planetarium? 

The exhibition “Man. Nature. Machine” has 140 exhibits presenting 7 different topics: the human body and health, food, nature and environment, waste and pollution, energy, transport and communication. Everything can be touched and tried. 

There is also an additional zone for the youngest visitors, children aged 3-6, who cannot yet write and read, but who can experience science through games, colors, sounds and shapes. 

The planetarium shows the film “Explore” and education about the stars, showing their simulations. Interesting information about the Lithuanian sky and the constellations that can be seen. 

The children’s planetarium shows the film “The Stellars”, which is one of our planetarium programs, more intended for children up to 10 years old. This program tells about ecology, nature conservation and space research, to understand the fragility and importance of our planet. This is a shorter session, an educational film for the little ones. 

Can children visit on their own? 

Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
