What do a star, a rainbow, a flash of lightning, and the Northern Lights have in common?

They are all united by light, capable of traveling millions of kilometres to reach us, refracting into a spectrum of colours, and sometimes illuminating the sky for just a split second.

Through hands-on experiments, you will discover how light propagates, reflects, and refracts, what happens to it when traveling through liquids, and what makes a laser beam so special. You will also take a closer look at one of the most complex light detectors – the human eye – testing how it perceives the light that reaches us.

These experiments will reveal how the exact same laws of physics create vastly different and awe-inspiring natural phenomena.
